We started out in church ministry in 1988 after managing a band for two years. God opened a door for us to shepherd hundreds of middle schoolers at Fellowship Bible Church, in Roswell. We were there for 11 years.

During our tenure at Fellowship, we served in various roles including junior high pastor, college pastor, and worship leaders.

Jim and Elizabeth married in 1987. They have 3 children, Jake, Erica, and Elysia, and a dog named Rocket.

We met in a Bible study at Oglethorpe University where we both grew as student leaders.  Following graduation I served as Campus Minister for Oglethorpe Christian Fellowship for two years.  I loved my time there, learning how to teach and shepherd students in the good news of Jesus Christ and how it affects all of life.  During this time I also had the privilege of leading music and training other music leaders at Oglethorpe and two local Atlanta churches.

We also lived in St. Louis for four years where God gave us hearts for ministries of justice and mercy, as well as for hospitality.  I was honored to participate in tutoring and nursing home ministries in the inner-city, and we both enjoyed opening our home weekly for times of small group prayer, fellowship, and Bible study.

We were married in 2001 and have one son, Logan (2005), and one dog, Paducah.

Héctor and Cecilia moved to Atlanta from Mexico City D.F. only three years ago. In that short time, Hector has learned English and helped start three churches!

God uniquely prepared Hector for his role here at Crosspoint and Encuentro by training him as a worship leader and church planter in Mexico and then moving him here to serve with us. His discipleship under Mission to the World serves him well to reach out to the thousands of Hispanics in our area. Hector loves his car, El Santo, fútbol, Los Pumas, worship leading and teaching us all to speak 'la lengua de cielo' - the language of heaven.

Héctor and Cecilia were married in 1994 and have 2 daughters Mariana and Andrea.

José and Jim met by God's divine Providence through our New Church Network and the Synod of the City.  Jose joined Crosspoint's pastoral staff to co-shepherd the church with Jim and to minister the gospel to the large Hispanic community in our area.  In January 2007, Crosspoint sent the Mateo's out to plant "Emmanuel Church" in West Cobb/East Paulding County area.

José and Ana were married in 1993; they have 3 children Briana, Kelsey and Jalen, two dogs, Pepper and Betty Boop and two lizards Butch and Freedom J.
